I am a narrative designer and game writer with a BA in Game Development: Writing at Falmouth University.
I have experience working in both multi disciplinary teams using Agile frameworks (including the use of JIRA and Trello) and as a solo developer, creating games in Unity, Unreal Engine, Inform 7, Twine, Ink, Ren'Py and Bitsy. I also enjoy writing short stories and poetry, and creating tabletop RPG systems.
I have a strong interest in games as a medium for storytelling, in particular how they can be used to evoke emotion and empathy in players.
My first year game, Another Day, is a narrative driven game portraying the daily struggle experienced by those living in isolation while suffering from depression and anxiety. The game was part of the Cornwall House exhibition during the G7 Summit in 2021. The team were also interviewed by mental health charity Safe In Our World, and the game is featured in Safe in Our World's list of related mental health games and apps.
My second year game, Freeflight, is a relaxing fly-a-thon adventure game in which the player takes on the role of an alien prospector for megacorporation Lunation Empire Industries. Glide, dive and soar through the skies on an amazing otherworldy adventure!
